When you move to the college ranks you have ten different division programs in the state. Included in the ranks are power houses University of Texas, Texas A&M and University of Houston. You also have five more division I-AA teams in Texas.

Where Texas makes its mark is in its High School Football. The move Friday Night Lights showed how obsessive fans can get in the state. There are twelve different divisions with 32 teams competing in each. You will find that some of these games will get over 30,000 fans at times. That is more than NBA finals games.

Football in Texas is religion to most and one that they don’t take lightly.
